Held four educational workshops on the occasion of World Ocean Day

The National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences is organizing 4 educational workshops in the field of marine and oceanic sciences on the occasion of World Ocean Day.

According to the research institute's public relations report, in these educational workshops by researchers  The National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences and scientific centers related to marine sciences of the country are presented, the practical aspects of marine sciences and exploitation of marine resources and environmental and natural requirements in coastal development are discussed.

According to this news, the details of these workshops are as follows:

- "Python introductory course (with data analysis approach)", on June 7, 9, 22 and 23, 1402 at 9-13 in person and online, registration required.

- Workshop "Natural Threats of Makran Coasts" with four lectures on: weather hazards in Makran region/dangers caused by coastal instability in Makran region/dangers caused by tsunami and its system in Makran region/splitting currents in Makran coasts, on June 8, 1402 at 9-13, in person and online, open to the public.

- The workshop "Desalination of the seas of Iran" with four lectures on: the needs and basic issues in the construction of sea desalination plants / the implementation framework of sea water desalination / environmental consequences in the exploitation of coastal industries of desalination of sea water / locating the construction of desalination plants, June 10, 1402 at 8-16, in person and virtually, entry is open to the public.

-Workshop "Fundamentals and Applications of Marine Remote Sensing" with 9 main topics including: measuring oceanographic parameters using various satellite sensors / measuring ocean color using satellite sensors / measuring ocean water level / satellite altimetry and measuring ocean water level / using satellite sensors to evaluate ocean currents / measuring wind and sea waves from space / measuring ocean surface salinity using satellite sensors / monitoring oil pollution on the sea surface using Satellite remote sensing technology/ introduction of satellite oceanographic resources and data,  June 20 to 24, 1402 at 9:00 p.m. in person, registration required.

 

It should be mentioned that these workshops are planned with the aim of responding to the needs and priorities of the country in the field of marine science and exploitation of sea resources and will be held on the occasion of commemorating the World Ocean Day on June 8, corresponding to June 18, 1402.
