Achieved Technology Readiness Level 8 score for "Integrated Maritime Data and Information System" 

"Integrated Marine Data and Information System" has achieved a technology readiness level score of 8 in the Iran Tech Hub system Vice President of Research and Technology of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology became.  

According to the public relations report of the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, This system includes the database of data of research projects and macro-monitoring programs of the research institute, as well as information of metadata and marine scientific patrols and information of research projects and statistical data. 

Through this system, the data center has made its software products, including applications, websites, atlases, and catalogs available to users. In this system, useful services such as plotting data points on the map, software tools for coordinate conversion and drawing various graphs of parameters are provided. One of the important indicators for technology valuation is to determine the level of technological readiness in a service or product, and this index determines the level of readiness and maturity of technology and is an analytical tool to measure the level of technological readiness. It is noted that in this research evaluation, the number 9 indicates the highest level of technology and the number 1 is the lowest level of technology, which is determined through the process of judging and review by the scientific council. Score 8 means a complete real system with high reliability.

This software system has been designed and developed by Farnaz Ghiathi, Wali Elah Omrani and Hamidreza Zare at the National Oceanic and Marine Data Center of the Research Institute. 

It should be mentioned that so far 6 technologies, including: ocean metadata management software system, marine patrol report management software system, portal of the National Oceanic and Marine Data Center, portal of Caspian Sea experts and marine project management software system, integrated marine data and information system, have been registered by the National Oceanic and Marine Data Center of the Research Institute in the Iran Tech Hub system since 2018, all of which have achieved a score of 8.
