Selection of the best book in Nowshahr Science and Technology Warriors Festival, visit of Tonkabon students to the Caspian Sea Research and Technology Station (Nowshahr) and holding an educational workshop  MATLAB  It was mentioned as one of the most important news of this center in the research and technology week of 1402.

According to the public relations report of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, in the festival of science and technology warriors of Nowshahr city, which was held with the support of the best projects and ideas and the description of the activities carried out in Nowshahr, the book of Dr. Ahmed Manbouhi, titled Practical introduction to some methods of instrumental analysis, was presented and it was introduced as the best book in this festival, and the author of the book was honored.

Also, a 2-day training workshop was held on the occasion of research and technology week on the 19th and 20th of December in virtual form with the presence of research institute colleagues and interested parties, by the Caspian Oceanographic Research and Technology Station (Nowshahr). 

On the first day of this workshop, the introductory instructions of the programming language MATLAB and concepts such as defining arrays and matrices, calling data in different formats (with a focus on formats related to marine parameters, including NetCDF) was described. On the second day, practical commands for data analysis (filtering, interpolation, etc.) and drawing and editing graphs and time series were taught.

It should be mentioned MATLAB (Abbreviation Matrix Laboratory ) is one of the most popular programming languages ​​in the world and is used for technical and numerical calculations. MATLAB makes it possible to draw data, implement algorithms, especially complex ones, manipulate matrices and even create user interfaces.

It is worth mentioning that in the total of 2 days of the workshop, about 40 people from the institute's colleagues and interested students participated and the responsibility  The scientific and executive secretary of the workshop were Dr. Jafar Azizpour and Dr. Ehsan Rast Geftar.
