This workshop was held in order to prepare more countries in the Northwest Indian Ocean region, titled How to Prepare Flooding Maps and Tsunami Evacuation Plans by UNESCO's Tsunami Risk Reduction and Warning System.
Representatives of the countries of Iran, India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE from 2 to 6 May 1403 They attended this workshop for 5 days. The modeling of flooded areas due to tsunami for the two cities of Chabahar and Jask in Iran and how to evacuate these cities during a tsunami was one of the trainings of this workshop.
Tsunami is one of the dangers that due to the existence of the Makran fault in the southeast of Iran, there must be preparation to deal with it. Participants from Chabahar and Jask They attended this 5-day workshop online and with simultaneous Farsi translation.
