Expert meeting and consensus of the international corresponding committee of the ISO water quality organization.ISO/TC147) with the aim of familiarizing with the structure, The plans and goals of the committee were held at the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences on Sunday, May 23.

According to the research institute's public relations report, at the beginning of this meeting, with the presence of Officials of the Office of Comparative Studies of the National Organization of Standards and the Deputy of Standardization of the Tehran General Directorate of Standards and the members of the Water Quality Committee and other corresponding committees from all over the country. and held virtually, the performance of the committee in 1402 was discussed and reviewed.

In this meeting, Dr. Ali Mehdinia, Vice President of Research and Education of the research institute and the head of the corresponding international water quality committee, while thanking the committee members for their participation and cooperation in 1402, presented a report on the national and international standards compiled in this committee and the updating of the international and national water quality standards, and requested the participation of all experts and stakeholders in this field. 

Also, Neda Shijuni, the secretary of the committee, gave a report about the structure and working groups of the international committee  ISO listed the submission and participation in the formulation of 124 international standards and 11 national standards in the field of water quality as one of the actions of this committee last year and carrying out a "study plan to review international and national water quality standards".  It was mentioned by the committee members as one of the important achievements of 1402. 

In the continuation of the meeting, Mrs. Dr. Shah Rezaei, the moderator of the "Study Plan for Reviewing International and National Water Quality Standards" presented explanations of the results of this plan in the form of topics that can be compiled in 1403 and requested the active participation of members in updating the expired standards.

In the end Dr. Ramona Massoud, Head of the Department of Compilation Affairs of the General Directorate of Standards of Tehran Province and Engineer Hamida Nikbein From the Office of Comparative Studies of the National Standard Organization While presenting suggestions in line with the activities of the committee and developing international standards, they praised and thanked this committee as one of the most active standards development committees of the National Organization for Standards.

It should be mentioned that the secretariat of the corresponding international committee of water isoquality (ISO/TC147) He has been based in the research institute since 2017 and during two periods of activity, he has succeeded in obtaining the title of Tehran province sample committee and national sample committee.
