A collective visit of Sharif University of Technology students to the research institute

A number of marine engineering undergraduate students from the Faculty of Mechanics of Sharif University of Technology along with Dr. Mohammad Reza Tabeshpour, a member of the faculty of Sharif University of Technology, visited various departments of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences.

According to the research institute's public relations report, during this visit, which took place on Tuesday, June 8th and in coordination with the industry and community relations unit of the research institute, after the welcome and introduction of the research institute by Mr. Mohammadi, a public relations expert, Engineer Farnaz Ghiathi, the head of the National Ocean and Marine Data Center, introduced the center and further explained the data management process and services provided to researchers through the center's website.

Then, Dr. Saeed Najafi, a member of the faculty and the director of relations with the industry of the research institute, also expressed some information about the completed and ongoing projects in order to introduce students to the activities of marine and oceanic sciences.

In another part of this visit, while showing a video report of the research and field activities carried out by the "Persian Gulf Explorer" for the students, Dr. Najafi answered the visitors' questions in this field.

In the continuation of this visit, the students, after attending the marine chemistry and physics laboratories as well as the marine operations unit, asked their questions to the relevant experts and received their answers and got to know closely the research, laboratory and field activities of the research institute.
