Considering the importance of the Caspian Sea as the largest limited water area in the world, the presence of 3 important and active ports in its southern area that have extensive exchanges with the surrounding countries and sometimes trans-regional, as well as extensive swimming along the southern shores of the Caspian Sea, hence Mazandaran Research and Technology Station of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences (Nowshahr) organized various programs on the occasion of World Seas and Ocean Day:

1. Holding the workshop "Climate change in the Caspian Sea with an emphasis on the effect of increasing water surface temperature on Azadzi nematodes" (scientific director: Dr. Taheri)

2. Holding two scientific lectures entitled "Operational Oceanography" by Dr. Jafar Azizpour and "Digital Companion of the Oceans" by Dr. Ehsan Rast Goftar

3. Teaching the children of station employees about environmental and sea protection.

On the occasion of World Sea and Ocean Day, a ceremony was held in the presence of the station's colleagues and their children for the purpose of "Education on the protection of the environment and the sea", during which, in addition to education in the form of various games and paintings, gifts were presented to these loved ones. Undoubtedly, one of the goals of holding such ceremonies is to create a sense of empathy, team spirit, and the belonging of colleagues to the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences.
