Report on the World Ocean Day commemoration programs at the station (Chabahar)
Four programs were held on the occasion of June 8 World Sea and Ocean Day at the Research and Technology Station of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences (Chabahar).
According to the public relations report of the research institute, Dr. Kamaluddin Ker, head of the station, announced the details of these programs as follows:
1- Holding a training course on seas and oceans for Chabahar students:
During this workshop, Mr. Hamid Rezaei attended the schools of Chabahar city and talked with students and teachers in the field of marine physics, marine chemistry and marine biology. Also, while stating the dangers related to the oceans, by showing films and short clips related to the seas and its creatures, he provided the grounds for students to become more familiar with the oceans and narrated the importance of preserving them for the life of the planet.

2- Coral monitoring program of Chabahar Bay beaches
Following the warning issued by the World Coral Bleaching Warning System and in accordance with the Seas and Oceans Day, a case of Chabahar Bay coral reef monitoring program at Lipar Beach It was done by Dr. Ghazilu. Based on the results of this monitoring, it seems that the hard corals in the area are currently in a good health condition and the problem of coral bleaching is not clear at the moment. The average color grade of corals based on coral health chart It was also 3.5 degrees.

3- Beach cleaning program
Considering the importance of seas and oceans and in order to cultivate the culture of beach cleaning, the colleagues of Chabahar station cleaned the beaches of Chabahar Sea on Ocean Day. The coasts of Makran have many unknowns for the scientific and decision-making community of the country. Considering the importance of the Oman Sea and Makran coasts as a bridge between the open seas and the Persian Gulf, as well as the existence of several important and active ports that have extensive exchanges with neighboring and sometimes trans-regional countries, the need to pay attention to various geological, physical, chemical and biological aspects of its coasts is of special importance and status. The National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, in line with its organizational duties, has developed advanced measurement and sampling equipment, expert and experienced staff in various fields of oceanography, and specialized laboratories to study Makran's coasts in fields related to oceanography.
In the monitoring program of June 1403, due to the size of the region, sampling operations were carried out with the presence of 10 researchers from the research institute and in the form of two sampling teams from the Chabahar and Hormozgan Oceanographic and Atmospheric Research and Technology Stations simultaneously from Gowater and Bandar Jask, and data collection and study of the conditions governing the coasts of Makran in different fields of oceanography in 156 points in 56 transects done
