Report on the programs of Persian Gulf Oceanographic Center (Bushehr) on the occasion of commemorating World Ocean Day

On the occasion of commemorating World Seas and Ocean Day (June 8), 3 programs were organized by the Research and Technology Station of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences of Bushehr province.

1- Conducting the workshop "Investigation of the current state of the ecosystems of the northwest side seas of the Indian Ocean" on 22/03/1403 in virtual form. In this workshop, Dr. Mahmoud Sinaii, a member of the academic staff of the Environmental Research Center of Chabahar Islamic Azad University, regarding "the effects of climate change on sea turtles", Dr. Amir Qazilu, a member of the academic faculty of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, regarding "Investigation of the condition of corals in the Persian Gulf and Chabahar Bay," Dr. Hamid Ershadi Far, a member of the academic faculty of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, regarding "Seasonal Hydrochemical Changes of the Oman Sea and the Persian Gulf", Dr. Abbas Ali Akbari Bidkhti, a member of the workshop A scientist from Tehran University gave a lecture on "Explaining the effects of warming and climate change on some marine ecosystems".

2- Beach cleaning program

In order to increase public awareness and build culture as much as possible in order to improve and solve environmental problems, Bushehr beach cleaning program was carried out in 2 places, Siadat Park and Jafra Swimming Pool on 03/19/1403. Unfortunately, compared to previous years, more garbage was observed on the shores of Bushehr, which requires more serious attention to cultural programs to inform public opinion.

3- Holding an expert meeting with Ports and Maritime Administration of Bushehr province

In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Dr. Maryam Ghaemi, head of the Bushehr center, and engineer Golestan, head of the Maritime Safety and Protection Department of the General Directorate of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Bushehr province, and experts from both sides, areas of joint cooperation were discussed and investigated.
