The 36th International Meeting of the Water Quality Committee (TC147) was held with the presence of representatives from Iran.
In the 36th international meeting of the water quality committee(TC147) which was held on November 7 for 6 days in South Korea, the policies and work plans of this committee were discussed.
According to the public relations report of the research institute, in this meeting which was held virtually with the presence of representatives from Iran and 91 countries (main member and observer), the policies and work plans of this committee for the formulation of international water quality standards and new projects and proposals presented by the main member countries were discussed. discussion and an exchange of views was made.
According to this report, reaching a global consensus on new issues and cooperation with international and regional organizations in the field of drafting water quality standards were also mentioned as the goals of this summit. So far, 338 international standards have been compiled and published in this field, and 48 standards are under preparation.
In this meeting, 7 main and general meetings of the main and sub-committees of water quality and 29 specialized meetings with various topics including terminology, physicochemical parameters of water, radioactivity, biology, microbiology and sampling with the presence of 37 main member countries including: (Australia, Germany, America, Iran, Belgium, Canada, France, Japan, South Korea, Norway, Italy, etc.) and 54 countries were formed as observer members.
It should be mentioned that in this meeting, Dr. Ali Mehdinia, a member of the scientific board of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, as an expert, and Nada Shijuni Fomeni, the head of the standardization office and the secretary of the corresponding committee. TC147, were present as a representative of the National Standards Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
