During the visit of the honorable representative of the president, the implementation of general sea-oriented development policies was coordinated: the unveiling of the "Technological Plan" and "Marine Atlas", as well as the launch of the "Ocean Artificial Intelligence Laboratory" and the examination of the capacities of the research institute in the development of Makran beaches.

During the visit of Dr. Abdul Alizadeh, the honorable representative of the president, in coordination with the implementation of general sea-oriented development policies, to the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, while familiarizing and examining the research institute's capacities in sea-oriented development, especially Makran coasts, the "Technological Plan and Marine Atlas" was unveiled and the first "Ocean Artificial Intelligence Laboratory" was also launched.

According to the public relations report of the research institute, in this visit, which was carried out in the presence of Dr. Abdul Alizadeh and the accompanying delegation, as well as Dr. Nejad Ebrahimi, the director general of the Research Policy and Planning Office of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the assistants for research and technology of the research institute, as well as the directors of the research institute, Dr. Morteza Tavakoli, while introducing the research institute, presented a report of the research, educational, field and laboratory activities in the field of marine and ocean sciences and explained the capabilities of the research institute in the development of Makran beaches.

Tavakoli called the development of Makran beaches vital for the country and said: With the support of the Makran Development Headquarters, the Research Institute can provide valuable research, scientific and field activities in the Makran basin. He further pointed out the presence of 54 countries in Antarctica on a temporary and permanent basis, called the research and presence of J.A. in Antarctica necessary and emphasized on Iran's scientific presence in Antarctica as soon as possible.

The head of the research institute also demanded the support of organizations and organizations for the research and field activities of the research institute in the fields of marine and oceanic sciences.

During his speech, Dr. Abdul Alizadeh called the presence in Antarctica "epic" and necessary, and while announcing his support in this field, he added: Scientists and professors of the research institute with scientific support should take the lead in this field, and in this field, it should be planned in such a way that people can also use this capacity in tourism.

He further added: All maritime countries are interested in participating in Antarctica. Iran is not exempt from this rule and should be present in Antarctica as soon as possible and do scientific and research work.

In the continuation of his speech, Dr. Tavakli introduced the higher councils related to marine industries and oceanography and called for more cooperation and interaction between these councils.

According to the Makran coast development program, he emphasized the importance of the issue of the impact of the tsunami  He pointed out for the region and the head of the center for forecasting and warning of marine hazards of the research institute also presented a report about "tsunami" and the background of this phenomenon in Makran coast and said: Tsunami occurred in 1945 in Makran coast in Chabahar region following an earthquake, during which it left many financial and human losses.

Dr. Abdul Alizadeh also stated in this regard: According to the report of the occurrence of this event, in the development of the beaches of Makran, more careful and scientific view should be taken into account in the placement of facilities, facilities and people's accommodation.

He emphasized the construction of a large port in Chabahar that can transport goods from Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, Western China, and Northern Europe through south-to-north corridors and vice versa, as well as being a support port for the transfer of goods to Europe and the African continent. He further called this issue a special privilege of Makran and added that infrastructure and tourism designs should be planned in such a way that if the tsunami repeats, there will be no loss of life and money, or it will be minimal.

Dr. Abdul Alizadeh also pointed out the basic capacities and fundamental duties of the Research Institute regarding the exploration, collection and processing of data and said: Maritime bodies and organizations should be more active in using the marine data of the Research Institute, which are national capital, very important and valuable, and the data obtained from shared research and studies should be used in decisions and studies.

Also, Dr. Saeed Najafi, Vice President of Technology of the Research Institute, called coastal waters in need of continuous monitoring and said: In all fields, continuous studies need to be updated so that they can be used if needed.

Dr. Nejad Ebrahimi also said in this meeting: The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has introduced the research institute as the trustee for the establishment of the National Maritime Metadata Center and it is expected that the country's maritime bodies will cooperate with the research institute in this field.

Dr. Ali Mehdinia, the research and educational vice president of the institute, also said: Considering the fact that the establishment of the national maritime metadata center was assigned to the institute by the Ministry of Defense, there is a need for more interaction between maritime organizations to make metadata available and share them.

Dr. Nejad Ebrahimi continued his speech and said: Organs and organizations such as the Ministry of Oil, the Environmental Organization and the Agricultural Jihad should use this data so that it does not become unused over time.

Dr. Abdul Alizadeh called for the identification of research and technology networks in the sea area and said: some associations and private companies can better and more easily cooperate with the research institute in the context of this network. He expressed his hope that with the implementation of sea-oriented development and its structure, information can be concentrated and distributed to everyone, and people's access to this information can be done faster and better. He added: In the government of Mr. Dr. Mezikian, we have decided to think more scientifically and fundamentally and do work and give value to the data and not do anything before the generalities of the matter and expert opinions are clarified. We use the same procedure in the field of sea-oriented development.

The president's representative in coordinating the implementation of general sea-oriented development policies regarding Anzali Wetland said: We are serious about reviving Anzali Wetland. 20 thousand hectares of wetlands have been turned into accumulations of urban and industrial waste, which will cause the destruction of the wetland. While it is considered one of the precious blessings of God and one of the most beautiful places in Iran. Therefore, we must try to restore the wetland to return to its previous state.

In another part of his speech, Dr. Najafi mentioned the construction details and specifications of the "Persian Gulf Explorer" research vessel and said: This vessel has successfully conducted 12 research tours in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences continued his speech in the debates about sea-oriented development and said: We currently have a document called the Makran Development Document, which is mostly land-oriented and not a guide. It seems that this document should also be revised and documents that lack field insight and social cultural compatibility with the region should not be used as criteria.

Unveiling of the "Technology of the Kerr Piston Launching and Recovery System"

After the end of the meeting, Dr. Abdul Alizadeh from the project "Technological system for launching and recovering the Karr piston" which TRL 9 received it in the Iran Technology Assessment System (SAFA) and unveiled it and wrote its message symbolically on the poster designed for this technology.

It should be mentioned that this technological plan was carried out in order to sample the sediment core from the deep parts of the seabed of Oman (2120 meters), based on the technical specifications of the research vessel "Persian Gulf Probe" with a length of 12 meters on the floating deck.

Unveiling of the "Coastal Oceanographic Atlas of the Caspian Sea"

Also, the Coastal Oceanographic Atlas of the Caspian Sea was unveiled by Dr. Abdul Alizadeh. This atlas was the result of the research institute's marine data collection in the South Caspian Basin during these years.

It should be mentioned that at the end of this meeting and visit, Dr. Abdul Alizadeh visited the Ocean Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the National Center for Ocean and Marine Data, the National Center for Forecasting and Warning of Marine Hazards, as well as the laboratory of the research institute, and while getting to know the research and laboratory activities closely, his questions were answered by the experts.
