Holding eight scientific lectures and various educational and promotional programs in the decade of Fajr 1403

Eight scientific lectures and several educational and promotional programs will be held by the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences in the blessed decade of Fajr 1403.

 

According to the research institute's public relations report, on the occasion of commemorating the Fajr decade and the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, eight scientific-specialist lectures in the field of marine, oceanic and atmospheric sciences and several educational and promotion programs will be presented by the experts and researchers of the research institute. 

 

The details of these lectures, which are held virtually by the academic faculty members of the research institute, are as follows:

1- Sea surface temperature and the health of corals in the Persian Gulf (case study: Persian Gulf and Sea of ​​Oman) 13 February 1403, at 9-10

2- Microplastics: an emerging threat to environmental sustainability (case study: Persian Gulf and Oman Sea) 13 Bahman 1403, 10-11 

3- Evaluation of the capacity of launching shark tourism in Chabahar, 14 Bahman 1403, at 9-10

4- Reconstruction of the process of evolution of Goater mangrove forest as the oldest mangrove forest in the country and its relationship with past climate changes and water level, 14th of Bahman 1403, 10-11 

5- Functional diversity of phytoplanktons of the Persian Gulf, 15 February 1403, 9-10 hours 

6- Tsunami caused by a landslide in the south of the Caspian Sea, 15 February 1403, 10-11 

7- Atmospheric and oceanic systems governing the Antarctic continent,  February 16, 1403, at 9-10 

8- Microplastics and heavy metals in coastal environments: values ​​of ecosystem services, 16th of Bahman 1403, 10-11 

 

Also, sending scientific experts to teach "oceanic literacy" to students in schools in the cities of Chabahar, Tankabon, Bandar Abbas and Tehran.  Beach cleaning campaigns at Chabahar and Bandar Abbas stations, holding an exhibition of marine science and culture at Bushehr station and visiting the "Persian Gulf Explorer" are also among the other upcoming programs of the research institute these days.
