The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, on the occasion of International Quds Day, while expressing sympathy with the oppressed Palestinian people, issued a statement as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Merciful

Crime is never normal. The continuation of the crimes of the occupying Palestinian regime cannot forget the depth of the tragic disaster that is happening in the 21st century and in front of the astonished eyes of humanity.

Today, the world is witnessing in disbelief the continuation of the occupation regime's crime in attacking civilians, especially children and women. The widespread destruction of civil infrastructure, including universities, schools and hospitals, as well as preventing the sending of humanitarian aid and even depriving the residents of Gaza of the right to drinking water and food, is a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention approved in 1949. What the occupying regime is doing is a clear example of violation of humanitarian rights, especially Articles 35, 48 and 51 of the Additional Protocol to the Four Conventions of Geneva adopted in 1949.

While expressing sympathy with the Palestinians, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology asks the international community, especially human rights activists, to use all their tools to prevent the continuation of the occupation regime's crimes and follow up on the following:

1. Providing and guaranteeing the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and respecting them;

2. Guaranteeing the right of return of Palestinian refugees;

3. immediate end of the blockade of Gaza;

4.  Respecting the fundamental rules of humanitarian rights in the separation between military and civilians;

5. respecting the dignity of women and children;

6. refraining from attacking residential and other civilian places, including hospitals, schools, and universities;

7. Fast establishment of electricity and water flow and assistance from relief organizations;

8.  respect for the human rights of war prisoners and wounded;

9.  The right of access of the Red Cross to the battlefield.

10. Referring the Gaza case to the International Criminal Court and prosecuting the perpetrators of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity by the court regardless of their political and diplomatic immunity according to the statute of the International Criminal Court;

The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology also asks the justice-seeking people of Iran to participate in the march on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan in defense of the noble people of Palestine.
