On the sidelines of the "Marine Standards and Sea-Oriented Development" conference, on December 12, 1404, at Amirkabir University, the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences set up a specialized booth to present its achievements in the field of standardization.
According to the public relations report of the research institute, in this booth, a series of activities and achievements of the research institute, including the establishment of the standardization office, the establishment of the secretariat of the corresponding water quality committee, supporting researches related to water quality, the development of national and international standards in the field of water quality, the development of standard operating procedures (SOP) related to oceanographic studies, and educational and promotional activities in the field of standardization were introduced. Also, the latest books and publications of the research institute in the field of water quality and sampling were exposed to the visitors.
During this event, the research institute's booth was visited by Ms. Dr. Farzaneh Ansari, the vice president and head of the National Standard Organization, as well as Dr. Soroush, the president of Amirkabir University of Technology. During these visits, officials of the standard and academic field got to know the activities of the research institute and its role in the development of standards related to water and marine industries.
On the sidelines of this program, negotiations were held between the head of the research institute and Dr. Ali Abdul Alizadeh - the representative of the president in sea-oriented development - the main focus of which was to support the exploration patrol of the Persian Gulf and scientific cooperation and standards related to the water and sea domain.
This scientific conference, which was held with the presence of universities, specialized institutions and maritime industry activists, covered 12 main axes, including "maritime specialized standards", "maritime standards development process", "sea-oriented standards and development", "new technologies and artificial intelligence" and "marine standards and renewable energies".
Officials present at this event, emphasizing the international nature of marine standards, emphasized the need for continuous updating of standardization knowledge and the development of scientific cooperation in this field.
The main purpose of holding this conference was to promote standards culture, increase the awareness of academics and specialists, and develop technical knowledge in the field of maritime standards.
