A meeting to review cooperation solutions between the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Marine Industries and the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences
In a specialized meeting that was held with the presence of Dr. Hadavi, the head of the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Marine Industries, along with the deputy and experts of this secretariat and Dr. Mehdinia, the head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, along with the vice president of research and technology and the head of the National Ocean Data Center of the research institute, on Saturday, December 15, 1404, ways to strengthen cooperation and support for this research institution were discussed.
According to the research institute's public relations report, in this meeting, Dr. Mehdinia, head of the research institute, presented a report on the research activities, achievements and national and international cooperation networks of this institution. He also mentioned the upcoming challenges, including the need to set up a marine reference laboratory, develop the National Oceanic Data Center, and finance the maintenance of the Persian Gulf probe.
In the following, Dr. Hadavi, the head of the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Marine Industries, emphasized the importance of the research institute's role in supporting the decision-making of marine sectors and announced that the secretariat will carry out the necessary follow-up through correspondence with related institutions, including the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and the Presidential Vice President for Science and Technology to support the research institute.
Support for research programs in Antarctica, establishing a marine reference laboratory, and strengthening oceanic data infrastructure were among the discussed axes for future cooperation.
This dialogue was conducted in the direction of greater interaction between the policy-making and research institutions of the sea area, and it was decided to establish more interactions and cooperation between the secretariat and the research institute.
