During his two-day trip to Chabahar, the director of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, while visiting the research and technology station of the research institute in this city, attended the national conference "Competitiveness and the Future of Urban Developments with a Sea-Oriented Economy Approach" as a key speaker and met and talked with some regional officials.

 

 

The head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, together with the members of the board of the research institute, in a two-day trip to Chabahar city, carried out a series of visits, meetings and scientific-executive meetings.

 

 Field visit to Chabahar research and technology station

 

In the first part of this trip, the board of the research institute visited Chabahar Oceanography and Atmospheric Science Research and Technology Station and examined the latest technical, construction and infrastructural status of the station. Then, in a meeting with established colleagues, the issues related to the improvement of the building, upgrading the infrastructure and strengthening and equipping the laboratories were reviewed.

 

 Reporting to local authorities

 

After summarizing the discussions, a report of approvals and operational axes was presented to the deputy governor and special governor of Chabahar, as well as the CEO of Chabahar Free Zone Organization. In this meeting, ways to strengthen Chabahar station of the research institute were discussed

 

 Attending the national conference as a keynote speaker

 

On the second day of this trip, Dr. Mehdinia appeared as a keynote speaker at the National Conference on Competitiveness and the Future of Urban Developments with a Sea-Oriented Economy Approach by presenting a speech entitled "Integrated Smart Marine Ecosystems" and emphasized the importance of sea-based development, the role of oceanographic research, and the capacities of Makran's coasts in the future of the country's economy. On the sidelines of this conference, meetings were held with the President of Chabahar International University and the Deputy Secretary of Makran Development Headquarters.
