Unveiling the new publications of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences
According to the public relations report of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, a series of scientific and reference works were introduced and unveiled for the first time in a ceremony that was held at the Research Week exhibition with a scientific approach and focusing on the achievements of Iranian researchers in the national and international fields of marine and polar sciences. These works are the result of years of field research, unique data collection and extensive scientific collaborations at the domestic and international level.
The content and scope of these books covers a wide range of marine and Antarctic topics; From the planktons of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman to the coral reefs of Iran and the environmental secrets of Antarctica.
**The unveiled books are as follows:
- "Swimming at sea with an emphasis on the planktonic organisms of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman - Dr. Hamid Rezaei Marnani
- "Comprehensive Atlas of Antarctic Environment" in two volumes authored by Mehyar Majidi Nik
- "Southern; Hidden Capital", translated by Mehyar Majidi Nik
- "Ocean Book" translated by Dr. Morteza Tu Kelly and Ms. Foroghi
- "Coral Reefs of Iran", published by Springer Nature International Publications. This book is authored by two Iranian researchers, Dr. Mohammad Reza Shokri and Dr. Kivan Kabiri, researchers of the National Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences.
These works are considered an important step in the direction of documenting and developing indigenous knowledge in the vital fields of oceanography and atmospheric sciences.
