Examining the axes of marine scientific and technological cooperation in the meeting of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Mustafafan Foundation
In the joint meeting of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences and Mustafafan Foundation, the solutions for the development of scientific, technological and institutional cooperation between the two sides were discussed.
According to the research institute's public relations report, this meeting was held in the research institute with the presence of Dr. Mahmoudi, the director of the technology and innovation center of the Mustafafan Foundation, and the capacities of joint cooperation in various fields of marine sciences and technologies, related industries and the development of innovative infrastructure were discussed and exchanged.
In this meeting, the capabilities and capabilities of the research institute in the fields of marine sciences and technologies, research and technological activities, national and international networks, provision of specialized marine data and scientific support for large projects were introduced. On the other hand, the support mechanisms of Mustafafan Foundation in the field of innovation and technology, including supporting projects at different levels of technological readiness, were explained.
In this framework, the foundation's support programs and events, including the "Rahishow" event for technologies with readiness levels 1 to 3, the "Faith" fund for technologies of levels 4 to 7, the national event "Technology Exchange" for technologies of levels 8 and 9, as well as the "Leap" event were introduced; The programs are designed according to the needs of the foundation's companies and holdings and are implemented with the aim of using the scientific capacities of the country to respond to the needs of the industry sector.
Also, areas such as marine food industry, fish and shrimp farming, agriculture and industry, mineral and geological resources, road and transportation, tourism and artificial intelligence were proposed as potential areas of joint cooperation, and the readiness of the foundation to support the scientific and technological activities of the research institute, through technological events, as well as using the capacities of the knowledge-based production jump law and tax credit was announced.
In the following, issues such as the provision of Metocean data for oil and gas projects and marine pipelines, gas hydrate studies, research ship equipment needs, studies of deep water mineral resources, research patrols in the Sea of Oman, the development of fish breeding in cages and the creation of specialized laboratory infrastructure were considered as the axes of joint cooperation.
Dr. Mehdinia, head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences, referring to the research institute's approach in developing practical and technological cooperation, emphasized the necessity of using the capacity of supporting institutions to strengthen the role of science and technology in solving the country's strategic issues.
In this meeting, the creation of the marine food industry innovation center, the development of a specialized marine FabLab, the provision of specialized equipment and the establishment of a marine reference laboratory were also discussed as the practical axes of cooperation, and it was decided to follow up on these issues through correspondence and specialized meetings.
