The Persian Gulf International Oceanographic Conference was held in Hormozgan with an emphasis on developing marine infrastructure and inter-sectoral cooperation, during which proposals were made to establish a Marine Sciences Museum and a specialized "blue carbon" laboratory in the province.
The head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences emphasized on the development of marine scientific infrastructure, strengthening inter-sectoral cooperation and accelerating the implementation of national strategic projects in the field of the sea and coasts at the international oceanographic conference of the Persian Gulf.
In an interview with Mana reporter, Ali Mehdinia announced the holding of the Persian Gulf International Oceanographic Conference in Hormozgan with the presence of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, the Commander of the Army Navy, the Head of the National Meteorological Organization and the Governor of Hormozgan and said: This conference was held for three days with themes such as climate change, smart management of the seas and preserving the historical name of the Persian Gulf.
According to the head of the National Research Institute of Oceanography and Atmospheric Sciences of the country, on the sidelines of this conference and in a meeting with the governor of Hormozgan, the proposal to set up a science center (Museum of Marine Sciences) and to establish a specialized "blue carbon" laboratory in the province was proposed; Also, the solutions of the provincial support of the programs and projects of the research institute in the field of sea and coasts were examined.
