Caspian Sea Research Station
Introduction
The Caspian Sea Oceanography Center (Nowshahr) is located in the easternmost part of Nowshahr, 3 km far from Nowshahr-Nour road in the Kheirrood village. The Center is 200 m off the coastal line. Located near the Caspian Sea, it is a center for researches in Golestan, Mazandaran and Guilan provinces. The Center was built in a 2880 m2 plot and 500 m2 infrastructure having 2 floors. It is equipped with 2 large laboratories for researches on marine non-living resources including physical oceanography, wet and dry geological laboratories and sample washing room. Laboratories of this Center are equipped with technical modern laboratory tools. The research projects in Caspian Sea area are carried out in the Caspian Sea Oceanography Center (Nowshahr).
